I just finished reading the article, "How Coaches Can Maximize Student Learning" by John Saphier and Lucy West and I am just charged with energy!  It was an amazingly informative, well-written and tightly-aligned article about the role of coaches.  I was able to apply every statement in the article to my school and isolate where our school falls below the mark in terms of coaches.  I found myself nodding fervently as I read through the article and realizing how important it is to have a knowledgeable coach on our team.
