We convene cross-functional groups of educators—from various teaching and administrative roles—to work together to create holistic communities of practice focused on instruction and learning. This approach establishes a robust dialogue focused on teaching and learning throughout the entire system. This process taps the collective expertise of what works to improve student learning.
Participants attending MTLC sessions fall into three distinct groups of educators.
MetamorphosisTLC professional development services provide teachers, coaches and administrators highly effective, hands-on innovative practices in teaching and learning. The overarching framework for all MTLC consulting services is founded on the principles of learning and Content-Focused Coaching we integrate into all our sessions. We tailor our seminars to meet the specific educational needs of the schools and districts we serve, based on our client’s budget and the characteristics of each site.
All our sessions are purposeful and interactive, employing powerful processes and pedagogy that teachers, teacher leaders, coaches, and supervisors can use in their schools and districts. MTLC sessions are both practical and theoretical, providing a foundation for and experience with numerous coaching skills, strategies and moves.
MTLC offers a wide array of practices that teachers and administrators can use to address the innumerable classroom challenges educators face, as well as overarching issues that arise out of district policies and school cultures that negatively impact teaching and learning. These techniques can be used to achieve specific goals or address particular problems, such as engaging non-responsive students in classroom conversation, or negotiating scheduling conflicts to make time for professional learning.
